Serapian Milano unveils Mosaico Bokashi Landscape, a vivid, sculptural installation created in collaboration with British designer Bethan Laura Wood. Presented inside Villa Mozart — the brand’s historic headquarters in Milan — the work reinterprets Serapian’s iconic Mosaico weaving technique through the lens of Japanese bokashi gradients, echoing light as it shifts between dusk and dawn.
Crafted entirely by hand, Mosaico Bokashi Landscape is composed of hundreds of napa leather strips woven into a freestanding screen inspired by the ridgelines of Japan’s mountains.
From one side, warm tones of sunset ripple across the surface; from the other, morning light rises in soft colour transitions. It’s both a functional divider and a poetic gesture — a landscape made tactile. The project is part of Doppia Firma, a dialogue between contemporary creatives and traditional artisans curated by the Michelangelo Foundation. Complementing the installation, Serapian’s upstairs gallery hosts a capsule collaboration with Cappellini and a rare showcase of archival and contemporary leather pieces, including the Secret Beauty Trunk.
