The fourth edition of Prada Frames will take place in Milan this April, continuing its role as an independent platform for research and dialogue. Curated by Formafantasma, the symposium runs alongside Salone del Mobile, with a program that places critical thinking at the centre of design discourse.
This year’s theme, In Transit, examines infrastructure as a system that not only enables movement—but also defines its limits.
Through discussions that draw on design, technology, policy, and environment, the symposium looks at how people, goods, and data circulate—and how that circulation is uneven. It explores questions around global distribution, digital logistics, procurement, and the friction between the ease of moving objects and the restrictions placed on human mobility.

Sessions will be held in two distinct settings: the restored Arlecchino train, originally designed by Gio Ponti and Giulio Minoletti in the 1950s, and the Padiglione Reale in Milan’s Central Station. Both spaces have a functional history tied to transit and serve as a contextual extension of the discussion. Attendance is free with registration, available from March 31 on prada.com.
