Palazzo Strozzi in Florence hosts Time for Women! Empowering Visions in 20 Years of the Max Mara Art Prize for Women, a major exhibition celebrating two decades of the Max Mara Art Prize for Women and its role in shaping contemporary art through a focus on female creativity.


Presented in partnership with Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, Whitechapel Gallery, and Collezione Maramotti, the exhibition brings together the work of nine prizewinners: Margaret Salmon, Hannah Rickards, Andrea Büttner, Laure Prouvost, Corin Sworn, Emma Hart, Helen Cammock, Emma Talbot, and Dominique White.

Across video, sculpture, installation, and painting, their projects trace a narrative of artistic inquiry developed during their Italian residencies—touching on commedia dell'arte, mythology, history, the Grand Tour, and overlooked voices.
