To mark the beginning of its 150th anniversary celebrations, Swiss Haute Horlogerie manufacturer Audemars Piguet unveils a groundbreaking evolution in watchmaking: the selfwinding perpetual calendar movement, Calibre 7138.

Debuting in the 41mm Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet in 18-carat white gold, as well as two 41mm Royal Oak models in stainless steel or 18-carat sand gold, Calibre 7138 also graces three limited "anniversary" editions of 150 pieces.

The perpetual calendar, one of horology’s most intricate complications, has historically required manual intervention once every 100 years to remain in sync with solar time. Traditional versions rely on side-correctors, necessitating tools for adjustments. Audemars Piguet’s reimagined mechanism streamlines this experience, allowing adjustments entirely via the crown—enhancing both functionality and design. This new in-house movement seamlessly blends cutting-edge research with the Maison’s storied craftsmanship, setting a new standard for perpetual calendars.
